About Mrs. Sparks

My name is Amber Sparks and I was born on May 25, 1986.  I spent the first 11 years of my life growing up in Cedar Hill, Texas.  We moved to Crandall, Texas for my 6th grade year, and moved to Midlothian, Texas my junior year of high school.  I graduated from Midlothian High School in 2004 and attended Texas Wesleyan University on a softball scholarship.  I transferred to Navarro College after my freshman year to study education.  Once I received my associates degree, I transferred to Texas A&M-Commerce and received my degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in 2010.  I am certified to teach Special Education early childhood-12th grade, Technology Applications EC-12, English as a Second Language EC-6th grade, and General Education EC-6.

I did my student teaching in Kindergarten and 5th grade here at Mt. Peak.  I taught 2nd grade for the first three years of my career before I moved to 5th grade.  I taught 5th grade for 4 years before moving to Kindergarten and teaching it for 2 years.  The 2019-2020 school year, I will be transitioning into Special Education, teaching resource and inclusion.

My husband's name is Stevan. He also graduated from Midlothian High School.  He now works as a Mechanical Engineer with Halliburton Energy Services.  We have 2 dogs named Lilly and Athena and live in Ovilla.  I love technology, reading, and watching sports.  I am a big fan of the Texas Rangers, Dallas Stars, and Dallas Cowboys.  My husband and I play fantasy football, so we try to watch as many football games throughout the week as possible.  I do not ever miss watching the Rangers play unless they are playing during school hours.  I pride myself on parent-teacher communication, so please do not hesitate to reach out if you need anything. Calls, texts, emails, or any other way you can get ahold me is absolutely fine!  We are sharing your precious children, and the best thing we can do for them is to be on the same page. So, if something comes up, reach out anytime.  If I do not respond to you within 24 hours, I probably didn't get your message.

  1. Thank you for the details and photos you provided. Hope our Cowboys have a deep playoff run this year. Additionally, seeking any inputs and suggestions on how to help Chase during after school hours to strengthen his patients, confidants, and results.
